Home to School Transport 2009/2010
The provision for home to school transport has now been agreed between Newport Bus and Newport City Council.

As a result of the increased requirement for seats, due to the reduction in the qualifying distance of children for such transport, the Local Authority has purchased scholars travel permits for those children that qualify for home to school transport.

All previously operated routes, and newly attained routes, will continue to operate with the number of seats available as notified by the Local Authority.

The provision of Yellow School Coach will continue, but these vehicles  will transfer to contracted or tendered routes where impending legislation in relation to the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act require vehicles operating outside the contract/tendered framework must be low floor and have access for disabled passengers.

Service 36
From 30 August 2009 we are improving the service 36 between
the bus station and Celtic Springs Business Park.
